Міжнародні рейтинги та індекси у формуванні іміджу держави

Abstract

The article reveals the essence of international rankings and indices of states created by international governmental and non-governmental organizations, and their significance for the image of states. The leadership of each state strives to create a positive image. The perception formed about the country and its leaders abroad significantly affects a wide range of economic, political, informational, cultural, and other aspects of its connections. An image can include various aspects such as culture, economy, politics, tourist attractions, standard of living, technological achievements, social stability, and much more. Each of these aspects, the achievements of the state in one sphere or another, is often measured today by various rankings formed by international organizations (both governmental and non-governmental). The position that a state occupies in various indices, rankings, etc., often has a serious impact on the perception of this state in the international environment. Rankings and indices of international organizations have a significant impact on the image of the state on the world stage. These indicators often serve as important benchmarks for governments, investors, tourists, and other stakeholders. High positions in the Global Competitiveness Index by the World Economic Forum contribute to attracting foreign investments, creating jobs, and economic growth, improving the international image of the state as favorable for business and investment. Indices such as the Corruption Perceptions Index by Transparency International assess the level of corruption and transparency in the government and society. Countries with low levels of corruption and high levels of transparency receive more positive evaluations on the international stage, which contributes to attracting investors and improving the business climate. These aspects are important for Ukraine, which not only needs international support in terms of armament but also requires positive perception for the recovery of the economy devastated by war. Therefore, we must pay attention to our presence and high positions in the rankings compiled by international organizations and understand the importance of these rankings in promoting a positive image of our state. Стаття розкриває сутність міжнародних рейтингів та індексів держав, які створюють міжнародні урядові та неурядові організації та їх значення для іміджу держав. Керівництво кожної держави прагне створити її позитивний імідж. Від того, яке уявлення складається про країну та її лідерів за кордоном, залежить багато що у найширшому спектрі економічних, політичних, інформаційно-культурних та інших напрямів її зв’язків. Імідж може включати різні аспекти, такі як культура, економіка, політика, туризм, рівень життя, технологічні досягнення, соціальна стабільність тощо. Кожен з цих аспектів, досягнення держави у тій чи іншій сфері, сьогодні часто вимірюють різні рейтинги, які формуються міжнародними організаціями (урядовими та неурядовими). Місце, яке займає держава у різних індексах, рейтингах тощо, часто має серйозний влив на сприйняття цієї держави у міжнародному середовищі. Рейтинги та індекси міжнародних організацій часто служать важливими орієнтирами для урядів, інвесторів, туристів та інших зацікавлених сторін. Високі позиції у Global Competitiveness Index від Всесвітнього економічного форуму сприяють залученню іноземних інвестицій, створенню робочих місць та економічному зростанню, покращуючи міжнародний імідж держави як сприятливої для бізнесу та інвестицій. Індекси Corruption Perceptions Index від Transparency International оцінюють рівень корупції та прозорості в уряді та суспільстві. Країни з низьким рівнем корупції та високим рівнем прозорості отримують більш позитивну оцінку на міжнародній арені, що тим самим сприяє залученню інвесторів і покращенню бізнес-клімату в країні. Ці аспекти важливі для України, яка не тільки потребує міжнародної підтримки у питанні озброєння, але й позитивного сприйняття задля відновлення економіки, зруйнованої війною. Тому, ми маємо звертати увагу на присутність і високі позиції у рейтингах, які складають міжнародні організації та розуміти важливість цих рейтингів у просуванні позитивного іміджу нашої держави.
