Юрій Бойко-Блохин : наукова та громадсько-політична діяльність

Abstract

Дисертація містить дослідження наукової та громадсько-політичної діяльності Юрія Бойко-Блохина – українського та німецького науковця, теоретика та ідеолога українського націоналізму. Простежено історичні умови формування світогляду, утвердження та становлення громадської позиції вченого. Висвітлено українознавчу наукову та громадськополітичну діяльність у Німеччині, доведено вплив професора на європейську громадськість з питань поширення україністики. Визначено основні аспекти діяльності Ю. Бойко-Блохина в ОУН(м). Досліджено історичну спадщину професора та виявлено духовно-ідеологічні основи українського націоналізму. Наголошено, що вчений зміг надати позитивне значення націоналізму, позбавивши його політичного забарвлення та відмежувавши від інших течій. Діяльність Ю. Бойко-Блохина, усупереч фальсифікаціям та спотворенням проросійською частиною німецького населення, а також радянською історіографією, знайомила європейську і світову спільноту із самобутньою історією та духовною культурою українського народу, довела відокремленість української нації від російської та забезпечила утвердження думки про історичне право українців на власну незалежну державу. The thesis researches scientific and socio-political activity of Yurii Boyko-Blokhyn’s who was the Ukrainian and German scientist, public figure, habilitated doctor, Professor of Ludwig-Maximilians University, rector of the Ukrainian Free University in Munich, academician, author of many fundamental works. The paper has substantiated the relevance of research topic, disclosed scientific novelty, defined object and subject of research, defined goals and objectives, highlighted methodological basis of conducted research, and shown practical significance of its results. There is an analysis of sources and literature on the mentioned topics and description of research methods. The historical conditions of the scientist’s ideology, strengthening and establishment of his social position are traced. Mykolaiv period in Yurii Boiko-Blokhyn’s work is determined as one of the most productive, which helped him become not only active citizen, but also scientists, adept in T. Shevchenko’s works, theater expert, educator, public and political figure. The research deals with Ukrainian scientific studies and socio-political activities in Germany. We prove Professor’s impact on European public with the help of Ukrainian Studies propagation. Yurii Boiko-Blokhyn’s Ukrainian studies primarily focused on the research of problems falsified and suppressed in Soviet Ukraine, thus ensuring the preservation and enhancement of national traditions of Ukrainian science, modernizing them in the context of modern western science and laid the foundation for future integration processes. The main aspects of Y. Boiko-Blokhyn’s activity in the OUN(m), where the scientist has gone the way from literary editor of «New Ukraine» in the occupied Kharkov to the Secretary General of the Organization. We concluded that this person always tried to defend the interests of members of the Naddniprianschina because of their great potential. He emphasized the necessity of holding special ideological propaganda among the population of eastern lands as an important element of the resistance movement on the territory of Ukraine. The presence of the concept in journalism of Yurii Boiko-Blokhyn is found out. All articles are proved to be combined into a single unit on the topic «Ukraine’s independence from Moscow» and the proper interpretation of the concepts of «Ukrainian language», «customs», «tradition», «education», «youth» as components of spiritual culture of the Ukrainian people. Every reconnaissance is a macro text, which is aimed at the formation of the consciousness of every individual and public opinion, which consolidates readership. We can trace the causes, consequences and forecasts of the acute topics in the writings of this author. Yurii Boiko-Blokhyn defines nationalism as defending the national priorities, especially in the spiritual life. Professor researched historical heritage and found spiritual and ideological bases of Ukrainian nationalism. He emphasized that scientists could provide positive nationalism, diminishing its political decoration and separating it from other movements. It is indicated that the reason for Yurii Boiko-Blokhyn’s appeal to theoretical research of Ukrainian nationalism became inability western Ukraine’s population to perceive propaganda literature distributed by OUN to spread nationalistic diaspora opinion or Western ideologues. Despite falsification and distortion of pro-Russian part of the German population and Soviet historiography, Yurii Boiko-Blokhyn’s activity introduced to the European and world community the unique history and spiritual culture of the Ukrainian people, the Ukrainian nation. It also proved the necessity of separation from the Russian assertion and provided opinions on the historical right of the Ukrainians to have their own independent state. The thesis presents a theoretical generalization and solving of the scientific problem, resulting in a complex analysis of Yurii BoikoBlokhyn’s scientific, social and political activities. The scientist’s works are proved to be aimed at providing the necessary knowledge to common Ukrainians both in the USSR and in emigration, encouraging the readers to realize the events experienced in the past, the objective attitude to present and develop their own vision, awakening their national consciousness and steadfastness to the enemies of the national idea.
