Abstract: | Using international human rights standards helps make the criminal justice system more fair and humane. It also reduces crime and makes society more stable. This topic is important because modern criminal justice needs to balance keeping people safe and protecting human rights. Today, the world faces many problems, such as crime, human rights violations, and social instability. Following international standards is an important step to creating a better justice system that is fair and effective. This research uses qualitative methods to study criminal justice. These methods help to understand the system's social, political, and legal aspects. The main methods are document analysis, which helps to see the rules and find what needs to change, and thematic analysis, which looks at important trends and checks if reforms are working. This approach helps to find new ways to improve the justice system. This analysis has shown that compliance with international standards in criminal justice contributes not only to the protection of human rights but also to increasing public confidence in the judicial system. The use of alternative methods of punishment, such as rehabilitation and probation programmes, effectively reduces recidivism and ensures the successful social adaptation of offenders. At the same time, introducing restorative justice creates conditions for reconciliation between victims and offenders, reduces social tensions and creates a more just and secure society |
