Наукові підходи щодо дослідження проблеми міжнаціональних конфліктів

Abstract

У статті розглядаються наукові підходи до вивчення міжнаціонального конфлікту, зокрема примордіалізм та інструменталізм. Обгрунтовується, що прихильники примордіалізму пропонують природний поділ людства на етнічні сім'ї, які схильні до конфліктів, у той час як інструменталісти зосереджуються на соціальному конструюванні етнічності та ролі елітарного маніпулювання культурними відмінностями як важливих факторів у міжнаціональному конфлікті. Таким чином, обидва підходи припускають, що етноцентризм є важливим фактором, що прискорює міжнаціональні конфлікти. Проаналізовано найважливіші критерії національної приналежності, а саме мову та релігійну приналежність. Обгрунтовується, що мовна спільність сама по собі не означає національну спільність, як і релігійна спільність. Люди мають багато ідентичностей одночасно, і національна приналежність може перетинати мову чи релігійну групу, а не накладатися. Доведено, що зв'язок зі спільною територією створює основу для сприйняття історичної наступності національної групи. Саме в зв'язку з історичною територією такі групи вкорінюють свою колективну пам'ять, свою спадщину та свої традиції. Цей зв'язок досить сильний, оскільки групи, що відірвані від такої батьківщини, зберігають свій символічний зв'язок із нею часто через передачу націоналістичної історії, народних казок, легенд і культурних міфів. The article considers scientific approaches to the study of inter-ethnic conflict, in particular primordialism and instrumentalism. It is argued that primordialists propose a natural division of humanity into conflict-prone ethnic families, while instrumentalists focus on the social construction of ethnicity and the role of elite manipulation of cultural differences as important factors in interethnic conflict. Thus, both approaches suggest that ethnocentrism is an important factor precipitating interethnic conflict. The most important criteria of ethnicity, namely language and religion, are analyzed. It is noted that the object of scientific research has traditionally been issues of settling international conflicts based on the application of national legislation or international law, developing various action algorithms, determining advantages and disadvantages, and determining their suitability for different categories of conflicts. In this regard, the theoretical analysis of scientific approaches to the study of problems of inter-national conflicts will allow to continue further scientific investigations, which will relate to the institutionalization of the subjects of the settlement of inter-national conflicts, the growing role of international organizations in this area and the related problem of possible interaction between them, development appropriate procedures, increasing the number of means or instruments of influence, etc. It is argued that linguistic community in itself does not mean ethnic community, as well as religious community. People have many identities at the same time, and nationalities may cross language or religious group rather than overlap. It is proved that the connection with the common territory creates a basis for perceiving the historical continuity of the national group. It is in connection with the historical territory that such groups root their collective memory, their heritage and their traditions. This connection is quite strong, as groups separated from such a homeland maintain their symbolic connection to it, often through the transmission of nationalistic history, folktales, legends and cultural myths.
