Аналіз сучасного стану та тенденцій функціонування валютного ринку України

Abstract

В умовах розвитку вільної ринкової конкуренції наявність зовнішньоекономічної діяльності в країні стає невід'ємним фактом її господарської діяльності, тому для вітчизняних підприємств є необхідними кошти в іноземній валюті для здійснення платежів по операціях із закордонними контрагентами. Виникає проблема встановлення обмінного валютного курсу, який сприяє розвитку всіх країн в глобальній світовій економіці та балансує їх відносини. А отже, постає потреба у такому ринковому сегменті, як валютний ринок, де під впливом попиту та пропозиції стихійно формується валютний курс, а валютні операції стають часом одними з основних операціями комерційних банків. У статті розглянуто тенденції та особливості функціонування вітчизняного валютного ринку протягом останніх п'яти років, проведено оцінку динаміки обсягів валютних інтервенцій НБУ та золотовалютних резервів НБУ, проаналізовано валютні грошові перекази та рівень валютної безпеки України. На основі проведеного аналізу розроблено пропозиції щодо напрямів удосконалення функціонування валютного ринку України. The foreign exchange market is a specific set of mechanisms and tools for determining the value of buying and selling highly liquid resources — foreign currency. The exchange rate is the most important macroeconomic indicator that determines the outcome of the country's balance of payments. Too high a value of the national currency leads to lower demand for domestically produced products, increased demand for imported goods, the influx of which increases, reduced investment in the real sector of the economy and vice versa, in the event of a rapid devaluation of the national currency. The foreign exchange market is characterized by a multitude of participants who pursue different goals: gaining income from speculative transactions, securing financial assets from commercial and investment risks, gaining access to currencies to support export-import transactions, and so on. It is to avoid increased conflict of agreements between participants in the foreign exchange market and smooth out foreign exchange transactions unregulated by free market mechanisms, the country's economy is forming a legal framework that allows to formalize relations, provide them with a generally accepted basis. In this article theoretical bases of functioning of the foreign exchange market of Ukraine are defined, the estimation of tendencies and features of functioning of the foreign exchange market of Ukraine, volumes and dynamics of foreign exchange interventions of the National Bank of Ukraine and gold and foreign exchange reserves is carried out. deposits of the banking system, revision of currency control rules, further abolition of any currency restrictions, stimulation of increasing the competitive status of the national currency — hryvnia, hedging of currency exchange risks, improving the investment climate in the country, attracting portfolio and direct investments. The research results can be used as a theoretical basis or basis for further analysis of the foreign exchange market of Ukraine, to improve the efficiency of foreign exchange transactions in the foreign exchange market of Ukraine by economic entities.
