Abstract: The article presents a clinical case of the development of asymptomatic gastrointestinal bleeding (GIB), iron deficiency anemia (IDA), the cause of which was Cameron's ulcer (UC; erosive lesion of the gastric mucosa, localized in the hernial sac of the esophageal opening of the diaphragm). A brief review of literature data and practice guidelines of the American Gastroenterological Association (AGA) is presented, which prove that VC is a typical gastroenterological cause of the development of IDA, which manifests as latent or overt KCC. Concomitant use of non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drugs can cause life-threatening SCC in patients with VC. Large esophageal hiatal hernia, concomitant helminthiasis, and H. pylori infection are recognized as aggravating factors in the development of CKD and IBD. Upper endoscopy is the gold standard for the diagnosis of VK, although for a number of reasons this ulcer defect may not be immediately detected, which requires X-ray examination of the stomach. The first line of therapy for UC is the appointment of acid-suppressive drugs, the optimal method of surgical treatment is laparoscopic fundoplication. The article describes the approach to prescribing eradication therapy in accordance with the provisions of the VI Maastricht Consensus. The necessity of individualizing anti-helicobacter therapy for a specific patient and the use of a three-component scheme with clarithromycin is explained. The advantages of using bismuth-containing drugs in eradication schemes are considered. The clinical effectiveness of domestic drugs (proton pump inhibitor "Ezonexa ® ", bismuth-containing drug "Vis Nol ® ", prokinetic agent "Itoprid Farmak") regarding the healing of VC is described.
